CHARITIES WE SUPPORT

Through The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus—a deadly disease that steals the lives of nearly 49,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year.

For decades, Key Club has partnered with the March of Dimes to give every baby a healthy start. Key Club members raise thousands of dollars annually through various programs, including collecting change, holding dances and taking part in March of Dimes’ signature event, March for Babies.

The mission of our Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is to develop local projects which will reduce the number of children in our three-state District who are killed or injured by trauma, ensuring all children live happy, healthy and safe lives.

Since 1994, Key Club has been Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF and over the years has raised nearly US$5 million for iodine deficiency programs worldwide and HIV and AIDS programs in Kenya and Swaziland.

Key Club participates with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by sponsoring fundraising events. Key Club members also participate in service projects at their local children’s hospital.

Key Club International is teaming up with The Thirst Project, the world's leading youth water-activism organization. The Thirst Project is a nonprofit organization that travels across the United States and speaks at schools to educate students about the global water crisis.

On April 9, 2017, our IP Lieutenant Governor Allison Chu was finally retired from her position. I want to take the time to thank her for everything she has
done for the division. She truly united our division and made amazing things happen for us.
I was also officially installed as your new Lieutenant Governor for the 2017-2018 term at DCON! My goal is to empower the members to serve their home, school, and community. I hope to be able to follow the past Lieutenant Governors of Division 4 East’s footsteps and I can’t wait to see what we will accomplish together.

MISSION
Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character & develop leadership.
Key Club International is the oldest, largest, & most successful non-profit student-led organization for high school students. We teach & spread our core values through community service: caring, character-building, inclusiveness, & leadership which were adopted by our Key Club International Board in 2002. Members of Key Club, a part of the community-service based Kiwanis International Family, develop themselves into young leaders as they positively impact their schools & communities.
Today, Key Club exists on almost 5,000 high school campuses, 31 different countries, primarily in the United States & Canada. It has also grown internationally to the Caribbean nations, Central & South America, & most recently to Asia & Australia. With over 12 million hours of community service a year, Key Club International is an organization comprised of multi-state districts, divisions, & individual Key Clubs on high school campuses around the world. Our organization is funded by nominal dues paid by every member, as well as generous contributions by Kiwanis International to fund service-leadership training programs. Key Club’s district & international officers are high school leaders elected by the members at district & international conventions. Our community-service organization offers a wide range of opportunities to its members, such as by supporting our International Service Partners March of Dimes (funds research to reduce premature births), UNICEF (works to overcome poverty, violence, discrimination, & disease that afflict children around the world), & Children’s Miracle Network (raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals).

We are caring & competent servant leaders transforming communities worldwide.
